Hull ready to make £8m Campbell bid

Hull boss Phil Brown is planning an £8million January bid for Manchester United youngster Fraizer Campbell.

Brown failed in his attempt to sign the England Under-21 ace last season.

Campbell helped the Tigers to promotion by scoring 15 goals while on loan at the club last season.

Campbell is currently on a season-long loan at Tottenham, as part of the deal that took Dimitar Berbatov to Old Trafford.

The United youngster has impressed at White Hart Lane, but Sir Alex Ferguson insists that Campbell’s future lies at Old Trafford.

“Fraizer will come back here, there is no question about that,” said Ferguson.

“The idea for him was to get some experience, so it has been good for him in that respect.

“He has produced some fantastic performances for Tottenham and I am delighted for the boy because he is going to be a good player. His future is here.”
