Hull striker Marlon King has been arrested after being accused of assaulting a woman in a central London bar.

King, who is on loan from Premier League rivals Wigan, was arrested on Wednesday when he voluntarily attended a police station after the incident on Sunday.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed officers from Westminster CID were investigating an allegation of assault on a 20-year-old woman at the Soho Revue Bar in Brewer Street.

He said: “A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. He has been bailed to return on a date in February.”

Former Watford star King has played 15 times for Hull this season and scored the winner in their Premier League match against Middlesbrough last weekend.
