Leeds United have signed Republic of Ireland international Noel Hunt following his departure from Reading, Sky Sports understands.
The 32 year old has put pen to paper on a two year deal, and links up with former manager Brian McDermott at Elland Road.
He made 162 appearances in five years for the Royals, scoring 39 goals having being signed from Dundee United by Steve Coppell, after being scouted by McDermott himself.
Hunt has three caps for the Republic of Ireland, though his last appearance came almost four years ago in a goalless World Cup qualifier against Montenegro.
He becomes Leeds third new signing of the summer following the arrivals of midfielder Luke Murphy from Crewe Alexandra, and striker Matt Smith from Oldham Athletic.
Meanwhile, the club have announced that they have given professional contracts to teenage duo Afolabi Coker and Smith Tiesse, after impressive as part of the squad that won the Under-18’s league last season.
