International football helped Klaas Jan Huntelaar come through a tough spell at Real Madrid CF and he is hoping to “keep up the goalscoring tempo” as the Netherlands face two key FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
“After the Tunisia game I came back to Madrid feeling good,” Huntelaar said. “Since then things have just got better. Before Tunisia I had spoken to Madrid coach Juande Ramos, who told me my time would come but he did not have any reason to change the team. It feels great now. That’s what you hope for when you move, and when it works out this way, it is super.”
