I made mistake: Julio Cesar

(GSM) – Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar took responsibility for Roma’s opening goal, but is confident Inter will get back on track quickly.

The goalkeeper fumbled a Nicolas Andre Burdisso header into the path of Daniele De Rossi in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat.

“Yes I made a mistake on De Rossi’s goal,” confessed the Brazilian.

Cesar stated, “I thought that I’d blocked the ball. I don’t know what happened.”

“Having said that, we did not deserve to lose. We will get back on track quickly. You’ll see,” he added.

The Nerazzurri’s lead at the top of the Serie A table has been cut to just one point and if Milan beat Lazio this evening, they too will be only a point away.
