(GSM) – Filippo Inzaghi is very committed to Milan. The veteran striker said he he would do anything for Milan after scoring his side’s equaliser against Napoli yesterday.

Inzaghi’s header sealed a 1-1 draw for the Rossoneri as they missed the chance to overtake Internazionale at the top of Serie A.

Inzaghi has fallen down in Leonardo’s pecking order and has rarely featured from the start this season and there were reports that he might leave in the summer in a bid to play regular first team football.

However, his comments after last night’s match appear to rule out any talk of him leaving San Siro.

“I would do anything for this shirt and for my part I always try to make myself ready,” Inzaghi told Milan’s official website.

“I am happy to have returned to playing as a regular. I tried to exploit all the assists from my teammates to the best of my abilities.

“I am satisfied because physically I am well. It’s been a long time since I played, but anyway I have always felt great affection around me. Also the banner that the fans dedicated to me was a testament to the great respect for me.

“All the team wanted to win and overtake Inter in the table and then dedicate it to Beckham and Nesta. Anyway, we’re happy with the performance. We gave everything and the fans at San Siro realised it and they were close to us throughout the game.”
