Ibe set for new Reds deal

Jordan Ibe is set to sign a new five year deal with Liverpool, according to the Independent.

The winger returned to Anfield in January after spending the first half of the season on loan with Derby County, where he scored five goals in twenty-four appearances in all competitions.

Since arriving back on Merseyside, the 19 year old has played six times though he was cup-tied for the Reds’ defeat to Aston Villa in the semi-finals of the FA Cup on Sunday.

Fellow midfielder Jordan Henderson is on the verge of putting pen to paper on a new contract, and Ibe is expected to follow suit before the end of the current campaign.

Brendan Rodgers’ side currently sit in fifth place in the Premier League table, seven points behind Manchester City in fourth, though they have a game in hand over the champions.

They can be backed at 6/1 to finish in the top four ahead of their match at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon.
