(GSM) – Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic insists his objective is winning every competition available while admitting his team needs to beat Roma when the two sides meet on Saturday.
The Rossoneri lead the Serie A table with a six-point advantage at the top, but have a tough match against last season’s runners-up before the annual winter break.
“We have to beat them,” Ibrahimovic told the Milan Channel. “That way we can enjoy the Christmas holidays and we’ll be even more motivated in the second half of the season.”
Asked about his objectives in his first year at Milan, the Swede replied: “Winning everything even the Coppa Italia.
“Max Allegri is a young Coach. He has great enthusiasm, good ideas and wants to play attacking football.
“Having not won big trophies before in his career, he is doing everything to win them now.
“Max gives us motivation and determination. He is ruthless when he needs to be.”
Ibrahimovic expressed his delight that his game has been compared to Milan legend Marco Van Basten’s style.
“I take them as compliments, but he is a legend. You can’t compare us.
“I hope to make history with Milan like him. But you can’t compare me to a legend. Everyone has their own personality and their own characteristics,” he concluded.
