According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is said to be on the verge of a short-term return to AC Milan. The sensational transfer would see the Swede earn £1.7 million a year, with the hope being that his goal scoring ability can help to push them towards a spot in the Champions League.

Zlatan was with AC for two years between 2010 and 2012, and it was in that time that his ‘legend’ so to speak grew. Over the years he has established himself as one of Europe’s finest strikers, and he has extended that reputation to the United States during his current run with LA Galaxy.

Ibrahimovic is often criticised for his cocky attitude and larger than life persona, but Milan fans will certainly be happy to see the veteran acting that way if he can find some consistency in front of goal.

Milan will return to action this weekend against Lazio.
