Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be signing a new contract at Parc des Princes, according to L’Equipe.
The player’s current deal is not due to expire until June 2015, but the club chiefs are eager to persuade the player to commit his long-term future to the Saints.
As a result, they have already opened talks with Ibrahimovic’s agent Mino Raiola over a contract extension and L’Equipe has learned that discussions are moving in the right direction.
The 31-year-old’s contract will be extended by one or two years, while he will also get a pay rise, with the new deal likely to be worth around €15 million per campaign.
This basically means that the experienced forward could end his playing career at Parc des Princes after changing quite a few clubs over the last five or six years.
Ibrahimovic has been in scintillating form since joining PSG from Milan, notching 31 goals in 39 league matches.
