Ibrahimovic urges Swede to score

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has told international team-mate Ola Toivonen he must score more goals if he is to reach his full potential.

Currently on national duty ahead of Tuesday’s Euro 2012 qualifier against the Netherlands, Ibrahimovic has called on the PSV ace to work on his game.

“I like to use the internet to look at statistics, and when I look at PSV, I don’t see his name enough. A player with his qualities in the Netherlands should score more often and get more assists,” Ibrahimovic told Voetbal International.

“I do not see many of his games, but for a number 10 for PSV, if he has ambitions, he should score at least 20 goals (a season).”

“If he does not do this, he will find it difficult to make the steps in his career that he would like to.”

Sweden have already secured a play-off spot, but could still qualify for Euro 2012 as a top-ranked runner-up if they beat the Netherlands in their final Group E match on Tuesday.
