Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Inter Milan plan to purchase the remaining half of Mauro Icardi’s contract in the summer transfer window.
The Argentine attacker joined the Nerazzurri in a co-ownership deal for €6.5 million from Sampdoria and he has since showed a great deal of promise despite picking up several injuries in the process.
Inter are, therefore, looking to sign him on a permanent deal in the summer, as they believe Icardi has a future at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Il Corriere dello Sport has learned that Inter have a gentlemen’s agreement with Sampdoria to purchase the remaining half of the striker’s contract for €6.5 million.
The 20-year-old arrived to Inter in the summer after scoring 10 goals in 31 league games for Doriani the previous season.
He has since managed 3 goals in 9 league appearances despite not starting any of those games and spending less than 250 minutes on the pitch in total.
