According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi has snubbed a possible switch to French side Monaco as well as Serie A giants Napoli. The Argentine forward only wants to leave Inter if a move to Juventus is on the cards, which has been heavily rumoured throughout the course of the entire window.
Inter are building a squad that they believe to be capable of challenging for the Serie A title during the upcoming season, with Juventus, of course, being the biggest road block in that plan.
It seems odd for them to consider selling their star forward to one of their most notable rivals, but if they can turn the money around and still bring in another big name or two before the end of the window, then it wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world.
Either way, Icardi’s days at the San Siro certainly appear to be numbered.
