According to a recent report from Sky Italy, Mauro Icardi is set to join Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan deal from Italian side Inter Milan. Icardi has been heavily linked with a move away from Inter throughout the course of the entire summer transfer window, and it was always just a question of where he was going to go as opposed to whether or not it was going to happen.
Some reports have suggested that he wanted to patch things up with Inter, but it increasingly seems as if that wasn’t actually the case.
Paris Saint-Germain have been able to keep hold of Neymar this summer, meaning that they will have arguably two of the most controversial forwards in the game today in the form of the Brazilian and Icardi himself.
Whether or not that helps or hurts them remains to be seen, but one way or another, they’ll continue to make the headlines.
