“My career’s under threat?,” he wrote. “I still have two years left on my PSG contract. It doesn’t seem to be unlike what has been written.
“Don’t worry, I’m still 29 and people know who I am after scoring almost 200 goals. And now I’ve decided to stay here and make myself available.”
Paris Saint-Germain forward Mauro Icardi has confirmed that he intends to see out his contract with the French champions.
Icardi, 29, joined PSG from Inter Milan on a permanent deal back in 2020 following a year-long loan deal. Many wondered whether or not he’d search for pastures new this summer but with two more years remaining on his deal, Icardi intends to stay and ‘make himself available’ – likely meaning he’s ready to fight for his place in the starting XI, even with Kylian Mbappe staying too.
They’ve got limitless options at their disposal so hopefully, for Icardi’s sake, he can make some noise.
