According to a recent report from AS, Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi will make the switch over to Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window. The 25 year old is considered to be one of the most exciting forwards currently playing in the top European leagues, and it’s no surprise that a series of elite clubs are interested in his services. The Argentine international was initially linked with a move to reigning European champions Real Madrid, but now, it would appear as if Atletico have moved into pole position.
Icardi has had to deal with rumours regarding his future for years now, but even if the face of that, he’s been able to stay focused on the goal of getting Inter as high up the table as he can.
He made his long awaited move to the San Siro back in 2013 from fellow Italian club Sampdoria, and he hasn’t looked back ever since.
