Icardi to Real Madrid?

According to a report from AS, Real Madrid could once again be interested in bringing Mauro Icardi to the Bernabeu – with Inter Milan’s exit from the Champions League serving as a big assist for that.

The 25 year old is eager to continue playing in Europe’s top club competition, and that dream would certainly be more consistent with the reigning champions Real.

Real Madrid are just starting to get their season back on track, following a borderline disastrous start to the campaign. They’re still in the running to retain their Champions League title, but by all accounts, Barcelona are the frontrunners to retain the La Liga crown.

Icardi has been viewed as one of the best forwards in the world for a few years now, and while Inter are still a high level club, it’s always seemed like just a matter of time before he made a switch to an even bigger side.
