Idrissa Gueye priority for Everton

According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Everton are set to be one of the busiest clubs in the little of the summer transfer window that remains, and their priority at the moment is bringing Idrissa Gana Gueye back to the club.

The experienced midfielder spent three years at Goodison Park, making a total of 108 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees before sealing a €30 million move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2019. Things aren’t going too well for him in the French capital at the moment, and he’s reportedly eager for a change of scenery with head coach Christoph Galtier not counting on him at all.

Apparently, Everton have done everything for their part, agreeing a deal with PSG and Gueye himself, but the 32-year-old is yet to finalize the terms of his departure from the Parc des Princes. He will need to look lively in the coming hours, because the Merseysiders are set to move on if no progress is made very soon.
