Ighalo turned down China switch

The Daily Star understands that Watford striker Odion Ighalo turned down a big money move to the Chinese Super League in the summer.

The twenty-seven year old had a number of offers from the nouveau riche division, but opted to remain in England’s top division.

Ighalo was in fine form in the first half of last season but has scored just two Premier League goals in 2016 and is yet to hit the back of the net so far this term.

The Hornets could have cashed in but the Nigeria international was not willing move to the Far East.

In total, the former Udinese man has scored thirty-seven times in eight-four games for Watford while he has three goals in eleven outings for his country.

Walter Mazzari’s men have taken just one point from their opening three games this season and are priced at 10/3 to win at West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.
