AC Milan full-back Ignazio Abate is nearing the end of the road with Rossoneri.
The 31-year-old Italy defender has barely featured for AC Milan this season, making only 13 Serie A appearances thus far and featuring in no more than 23 games across all competitions.
Having lost his place in the starting line-up, Ignazio Abate is considering his options and the latest reports coming from Italy claim that the club will not stand in his way at the end of the season.
A mutual consent termination is being mooted in the Italian press with Abate looking towards the United States.
The experienced defender is reportedly keen to start a new chapter of his career in the MLS, which is becoming an increasingly popular choice for players passing the summit of their careers.
Abate has thus far represented the likes of Napoli, Piacenza, Modena, Empoli and Torino before returning to his boyhood club AC Milan in 2009.
He has thus far made 220 Serie A appearances for Rossoneri.
