Le Parisien is reporting that Paris Saint-Germain are keeping close tabs on AC Milan full-back Ignazio Abate.
It is no secret the Saints are looking to sign a new right-sided defender, but their attempts to lure Daniel Alves from Barcelona have so far been unsuccessful.
As a result, the French giants seem to have turned their attention to AC Milan defender Ignazio Abate.
The 27-year-old is much younger than the Brazilian and he earns less money, while he is likely to be available for sale in the summer transfer window.
It is believed Abate was recommended to PSG officials by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while the fact the Italian shares the same agent with the Swede and few more star players at Parc des Princes could also help.
The AC Milan graduate has been named in Cesare Prandelli’s provisional World Cup squad and he could take part at the tournament finals, where the Azzurri are 25/1 to lift the title.
