Kelechi Iheanacho is keen to remain at Manchester City this summer, according to the Daily Star.
The striker’s future has been the subject of much speculation with West Ham United, Leicester City, Everton, West Bromwich Albion, Southampton and a host of overseas outfits all linked with a move to secure his services.
However, he is keen to fight for his place at the Etihad Stadium and to continue learning under manager Pep Guardiola, who guided the club to a third place finish and Champions League qualification in his first season with the club.
The twenty year old broke into City’s first team at the beginning of the 2015/16 campaign and has since racked up sixty-three appearances in all competitions with an impressive return of twenty-one goals.
He has also been capped eight times by Nigeria, scoring five goals having won the U17 World Cup with them back in 2013.
