German media outlet Bild has learned that Borussia Dortmund may be forced to sell star player Ilkay Gundogan.
The highly rated midfielder has a year and a half left on his current deal and the Millionaires are eager to avoid losing him on free after what happened to Robert Lewandowski.
As a result, they are ready to cash in on Gundogan if he does not sign a contract extension in the near future.
The Germany international has yet to make a decision on his future and while he appreciates the fact that the club stood by his side during the injury nightmare, he wants to experience a different league.
He has been linked with quite a few top European clubs, with Manchester United reportedly looking to make their interest concrete.
Ilkay Gundogan, 24, has spent last three and a half years at Signal-Iduna Park, featuring in 65 Bundesliga matches and scoring 7 goals.
