Trouble looms at Spanish giants Real Madrid as coach Bernd Schuster revealed some of his frustrations during a press conference on Thursday.
The German claimed to be “the last person to find out about everything” at the club.
“I am getting used to being the last to hear things. It’s not nice to hear it that way because later you [the press] will ask me about subjects I can’t give any answers on,” the 48-year-old said.
About a possible pay rise, Schuster added: “I don’t know anything for the moment. It’s more likely for Cristiano Ronaldo to join us than for me to get promoted,” he claimed.
“I’m waiting for the chairman to come to be to talk and see how things are.”
The manager went on to say that the team will need to be reinforced for the coming season, particularly in midfield. With the news of the possible arrival of Rafael van der Vaart, that wish may come true sooner than expected.
Schuster joined Real Madrid last year, and had no difficulties in defending the title this season.
As a player, the German represented the Spanish side from 1988 to 1990.
