Borussia Dortmund striker Ciro Immobile is heavily expected to return to Italian Serie A this month, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The former Serie A top goalscorer has been unable to prove his worth in Spanish La Liga and he has now set his sights on leaving the club.
Even though Sevilla officials still believe he has what it takes to perform at the highest level, Immobile wants to be playing on regular basis in an attempt to secure his place in Italy’s Euro 2016 squad.
The return to Italy seems the most likely scenario, with former club Torino reportedly leading the chase for his signature.
Sampdoria and Sassuolo are also keen on the striker who had bagged 22 goals in 33 league games in the season before joining Borussia Dortmund.
Immobile has only managed 2 goals in 8 league appearances during the loan spell with Sevilla, and he could now return to Serie A on loan with an option to buy.
