FC Porto youngster Diogo Dalot showed in his very first Primeira Liga start why he was held in high regard by top European clubs.
Waiting for his chance to shine for the Dragons since he was 8, the 18-year-old had made two substitute appearances for the club before he was handed his first league start against Portimonenese.
Despite playing at left-back as a replacement for Alex Telles, the right-back impressed throughout and even managed two assists in the 5-0 triumph.
Spanish newspaper Marca was visibly impressed with Diogo Dalot and his full first team debut, while also noting that the youngster was on the radar of Barcelona, Bayern, Juventus and Real Madrid, among other clubs.
Even his former teammate Miguel Layun believes that Dalot could go on to become the world’s best right-back and it is only a matter of time before he leaves FC Porto for greener pastures.
