Inaki Williams wants to retire at Athletic Bilbao

Inaki Williams has revealed his desire to play for Athletic Bilbao for the rest of his career.

The winger, who has been named as the fastest player in La Liga this season, signed a very rare nine-year contract with the Basque club, which practically almost secured the fulfillment of his wish – he is now tied to the club until he turns 34.

Speaking to Cadena SER, the player nicknamed “La Pantera” (The Panther) said that he currently is where he wants to be until the day he hangs up his boots.

Apart from the thoughts on his club future, Williams says he dreams of playing for Spain, hoping to share the national shirt with other amazing players, those who are already a part of it. He considers playing for his country as a reward for the hard work football players put in on a daily basis. In the end, he added that he hopes his brother Nico, currently going through the ranks at the club, will join him in the first team soon.
