There is a lot of transfer activity around Anfield these summers despite Rafa Benitez’ complaints that he is not given enough money. The latest rumour regarding Liverpool is that winger Jermaine Pennant could leave Liverpool this summer.
Jermaine Pennant joined Benitez’ team in 2006 and he has had a decent time at Anfield, but with Liverpool looking to raise transfer funds, he could be sold should the right offer come in.
New Balckburn manager Paul Ince is aware of that situation and, according to The Daily Mail, could move for the former Arsenal player as he looks for a replacement for outgoing Bentley – also a former Arsenal player.
Liverpool will look to use any money they could get out of Jermaine Pennant’s transfer to fund their bid to bring in Tottenham’s Robbie Keane. Tottenham asking price is thought for Robbie Keane is thought to be £20 million but Liverpool do not have that kind of money.
