Indian star Sunil Chhetri is set to join Major League Soccer side Kansas City Wizards.
The 25-year-old almost joined Queens Park Rangers last year, but failed to get a work permit.
“Sunil is set to sign for Kansas after impressing their people while training with them,” Chhetri’s British agent, Kenny Moyes, told Sky Sports.
“He is excited at the prospect of playing in the MLS and it will be a good stage for him to continue his development.
“Along with my business partner, Jogesh Yoshee, we were made aware of interest from Kansas and they think Sunil has a bright future ahead of him.
“He was disappointed not to be able to move to QPR last year, but it is his ultimate ambition to play in England at some point in the future. ”
