Ings completes Southampton switch

Southampton have completed the loan signing of Danny Ings from Liverpool, according to Sky Sports.

The one-time England international, who’s time at Anfield has been blighted by injury but now has the chance to rebuild his career back on the south coast, having began his career with Bournemouth.

Ings secured his move to Liverpool after four years with Burnley, where he scored forty-three goals in one hundred and thirty appearances, helping them to promotion in 2014.

He has played just twenty-five times for the Reds so far scoring four goals – the last of which coming in a 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion towards the end of the last season.

Ings won his one and only senior England cap so far in a 3-0 European Championships qualifying win over Lithuania in October 2015.

Southampton begin the 2018/19 by hosting Burnley on Sunday afternoon and the home win can be backed at 17/20.
