Ings focused on promotion push

Burnely striker Danny Ings has played down talk of a summer move away from the club, according to TalkSport.

The 21 year old was named Championship Player of the Year at last night’s Football League awards, after notching up an impressive twenty goals so far this season.

His form has not gone unnoticed, with a number of Premier League clubs linked with a move to secure his services though the former Bournemouth man has said that he merely sees that as a way to motivate him to perform for Sean Dyche’s side.

The Clarets are seven points behind leaders Leicester City, but sit ten above third place Derby County in the second tier with ten games to play.

Ings is currently joint second with Blackburn Rovers forward Jordan Rhodes in the race to be the top scorer in the Championship this season, four behind Ross McCormack of Leeds United, and can be backed at a price of 13/2 to win the division’s Golden Boot award.
