Iniesta blow for Barcelona

(GSM) – Barcelona’s star midfielder Andres Iniesta is likely to miss the rest of the season after he suffering an injury during training.

The Spain international has suffered a “total rupture of the right femoral biceps muscle” after tests undergoing tests on his injured leg.

And the Catalan club’s website stated that the injury is likely to keep the midfielder out for four weeks, which would rule him out of many of the Spanish giants’ final seven league matches as well as both legs of the Champions League semi-final against Internazioanle.

With Spain set to open their World Cup campaign against Switzerland on 16 June, in which Iniesta is eager to feature.
