Iniesta returns for Spain

Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has announced his 23-man squad for their upcoming international friendlies with England and Costa Rica.

Spain journey to Wembley to take on England on November 12, and three days later they will be in San Jose to meet Costa Rica.

Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has returned to the squad after missing the last two internationals due to injury and has taken the place of team-mate Thiago Alcantara.

Meanwhile Sevilla winger Jesus Navas has also been included and replaces injured Barcelona star Pedro in the team.

Malaga defender Nacho Monreal received a call-up after missing out on the squad for the previous international.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas will join former Barcelona shot-stopper Andoni Zubizarreta as Spain’s most capped player on 126 appearances if he plays against either England or Costa Rica.

Spain squad:-

Goalkeepers – Iker Casillas (Real Madrid), Jose Reina (Liverpool), Victor Valdes (Barcelona)

Defenders – Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Alvaro Arbeloa (Real Madrid), Carles Puyol (Barcelona), Gerard Pique (Barcelona), Jordi Alba (Valencia), Raul Albiol (Real Madrid), Nacho Monreal (Malaga)

Midfielders – Xavi (Barcelona), Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Sergio Busquets (Barcelona), Santi Cazorla (Malaga), Javi Martinez (Athletic Bilbao), Cesc Fabregas (Barcelona), Andres Iniesta (Barcelona)

Forwards – David Villa (Barcelona), David Silva (Manchester City), Fernando Torres (Chelsea), Fernando Llorente (Athletic Bilbao), Juan Mata (Chelsea), Jesus Navas (Sevilla)
