Spanish newspaper El Economista understands that Real Madrid are weighing up move for Real Socieadad defender Inigo Martinez.
Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti is a bit short of options in the centre of the park and chances are he will sign a new stopper at the earliest opportunity.
According to El Economista, the Italian has made Inigo Martinez one of his number one targets.
The 22-year-old has a contract until June 2015 and a release clause worth €30 million, but that shouldn’t be a problem for free-spending los Merengues.
Despite his fragile age, Martinez already has plenty of top flight experience, having featured in no less than 68 La Liga matches, scoring 7 goals.
His current side didn’t have the best of starts to the new season, seeing as how they are currently just one point above the relegation zone, with La Real 9/2 to win their next fixture against Valencia.
