Injury blow for United

The news that Michael Carrick will miss a further six weeks of the season will be a real blow for Manchester United.

With the side often looking more balanced when he plays, he will be sorely missed after cracking a bone in his foot in the defeat at Liverpool.

Carrick had already missed three weeks with an ankle injury and was looking to get back to match fitness.

With Sir Alex already fuming after the performance at Anfield, this news will not have lightened his mood much!
