Injury forces Cahill out

Injury has forced Holger Osieck to leave Tim Cahilll out of the Australian squad for Tuesday’s friendly against Germany.

The Everton striker is still recovering from a foot injury and Australia manager Osieck decided not to risk him.Midfielder James Holland will join the squad after last playing against Slovenia in August 2010, while fellow midfielder Adam Sarota and Danish-based forward Brent McGrath have both received their first call-up to the national team.The Germans have been victorious on each of the three previous occasions the countries have played, including their 4-0 victory over Australia at the 2010 World Cup.The Australians take on Germany at Borussia-Park in Monchengladbach on Tuesday.Australia squad: David CARNEY, Brett EMERTON, James HOLLAND, Brett HOLMAN, Mile JEDINAK, Harry KEWELL, Neil KILKENNY, Robbie KRUSE, Mitchell LANGERAK, Brent McGRATH, Jon McKAIN, Matt McKAY, Lucas NEILL, Sasa OGNENOVSKI, Nikita RUKAVYTSYA, Adam SAROTA, Mark SCHWARZER, Carl VALERI, Luke WILKSHIRE
