The agent of Udinese midfield player Gokhan Inler has said that he is preparing to meet Arsenal to discuss a possible move for the player.
Switzerland international Inler has previously been linked with a £10million move to Arsenal. Arsene Wenger would certainly love to bring in a midfielder as he has lost Mathieu Flamini, Gilberto Silva and Alexander Hleb already this summer, and the undercurrent of rumours about Cesc Fabregas won’t go away.
There have been many rumours that Inler was one target Wenger was considering, although Udinese have insisted Inler will not be moving to the Premier League.
The player’s agent admits that there has been no actual bid from Arsenal: “I’m due to go to London and take a look over everything, but no deal has been done yet with Arsenal. It is difficult for us to take a decision, but Arsenal is certainly something that Gokhan needs to look at,” he told Tages Anzeiger.
So are Arsenal interested in Inler or this a case of an agent trying to raise the profile of his player? Watch this space!
