Japanese defender Yuto Nagatomo will miss Champions League clash against French club Lille with a calf muscle injury.
Nagatomo has been out of touch recently for Inter, who are one point from the relegation zone in 17th place in Serie A.
The former FC Tokyo and Cesena defender was seen working alone away from his team-mates with trainers on Tuesday, according to Inter Channel.
Despite the injury, the Japanese Football Association (JFA) named Nagatomo in their squad for upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Tajikistan and North Korea.
“We’ve heard the injury isn’t serious,” a JFA spokesman said.
“But we’re in contact with Inter and once we have a full understanding of the situation we’ll make a decision.”
