Inter Milan have reached an agreement to sign Argentine playmaker Ever Banega from Sevilla, Il Corriere dello Sport can reveal.
The Nerazzurri have now officially informed Sevilla they are negotiating a Bosman deal with the player whose contract at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan expires in June.
But, the latest reports suggest the Argentine has already accepted a three-year deal worth €3 million per season that will see him become an Inter Milan footballer in the summer transfer window.
Even though Banega has an option to extend a contract with Sevilla for another year, he can also pay a set fee to cancel said clause, in which case he would be free to move to Italy.
The 27-year-old did well to get his career back on track at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, notching 7 goals in 51 La Liga outings.
Banega remains an important member of the Argentina national team and has so far started two matches in the 2018 World Cup Qualifying.
