Italian powerhouse Inter Milan have agreed a deal to sing the Turkish left-back Caner Erkin, Corriere dello Sport have announced.
The Italian media outlet suggests that Caner Erkin has already signed a pre-contract agreement to join Inter as a free agent in the summer on a three-year deal worth €1.8 million a year.
Having received an approval from Roberto Mancini who sanctioned the move, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is believed to have personally reached an agreement with the 27-year-old Fenerbahce defender, who has been a target for Nerazzuri for quite some time.
Caner Erkin’s arrival is likely to close the doors for Alex Telles’ return to Inter. The Brazilian is currently on loan at Galatasaray, but Roberto Mancini is not counting on the 27-year-old for the next season.
Turkey international Erkin has been with Fenerbahce since 2010 and has so far played 155 league matches, scoring nine goals in the process.
Erkin will become Inter’s second summer signing as Nerazzuri have already worked all the details to bring Sevilla’s Enver Banega at the end of the season as well.
