Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that Inter Milan and CSKA Moscow are set to enter a genuine bidding war for Corinthians midfielder Paulinho.
The Russian club were on the verge of signing the midfielder this summer, but Corinthians decided to pull out of the deal in the last minute.
Inter Milan have since managed to persuade Paulinho that his future lies at Giuseppe Meazza and reportedly even agreed personal terms with the player.
The Neroazzurri were willing to pay Corinthians around €13 million for the highly rated midfielder, but they are now in danger of being outbid by another club.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that CSKA Moscow have reignited their interest in the player and plan to offer €18 million for his services.
Inter officials are hoping the player will keep his word and sign for them instead, but there is every chance the Neroazzurri would have to offer at least €15 million in order to get their man in January.
The 24-year-old has spent last three seasons at Corinthians, and has scored 21 goals in 111 league appearances for the club.
