Interesting news are coming out of Germany. Werder Bremen still do not know whether they will play in Bundesliga next season, as they have to win the play-off against second tier’s Heidenheim in order to remain in top flight. But despite finishing 16th in the league of 18 clubs and having the second worst defensive record, their centre-back Milos Veljkovic could be making the biggest move of his career.
Serbian defender will turn 25 in September and before that he might make a big change and move to Italy. According to Bild, Inter Milan and Lazio are both monitoring the player and are interested in signing him this summer. There are couple of reasons why they are looking at a player who has 106 Bundesliga appearances to his name.
It is his space for improvement, especially at Italian clubs known for top defensive work they do, but also because he could be a cheap solution. Werder could accept an offer worth around five million euros, per same source.
