Catalan daily Sport has learned that Inter Milan and Marseille are keeping close tabs on Barcelona full-back Martin Montoya.
The promising defender has less than a year left on his contract at Camp Nou, meaning he could be available on a cut-price deal in January.
Barcelona officials are believed to hold the player in high regard, but they have yet to make an effort to persuade the defender into signing a contract extension.
Sport understands that long-term admirers Inter Milan are ready to make a move in January, with Marseille also keen.
Daily Mirror has suggested few days ago that Arsenal are also showing interest in the 22-year-old defender, who has been showing a great deal of promise of late.
Martin Montoya, who has been at Barcelona since 1999, has so far made 24 La Liga appearances for the Catalans, while featuring in no less than 12 matches for Spain Under-21 last term.
