Inter and Milan battle for Quintero

Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that Inter and AC Milan could enter a real bidding war for Pescara midfielder Juan Quintero.

Despite only arriving to Italy last summer, the 20-year-old has become one of the hottest commodities in world football and has seen his name linked with a number of big European clubs.

Even if the player admits he has an excellent relationship with his compatriot and Inter official Ivan Cordoba, La Gazzetta dello Sport claims AC Milan are leading the race for his signature.

Namely, Adriano Galliani has already opened talks with Qunitero’s agent, as the Rossoneri aim to quickly close the deal and thus beat other interested sides to the talented forward.

Pescara’s €12 million valuation of the player should guarantee Delfini a healthy profit in the summer transfer window, having paid just €3 million for the Colombian last summer.

After impressing at the start of his career in Serie A, Juan Quintero further proved his worth by guiding Colombia to the Under-20 South American Championship title, scoring 5 goals in the process.
