Ivan Perišić has been linked with leaving Inter Milan for a long time now. Last summer it was Manchester United leading the race, last month it was Arsenal who reportedly offered him a way out, and now it’s Spurs who have emerged as the front-runners to secure his services, according to Tuttosport.
Meanwhile, Inter are interested in Spurs’ Moussa Sissoko, who put in an excellent performance in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday. The French international was frozen out for a while under manager Mauricio Pochettino but he gradually fought his way through into the team, and has become an important part of their squad. However, with Spurs apparently chasing midfield reinforcements in the summer, he might find his game-time reduced and may feel that Inter would provide more in that aspect.
Though player-swaps rarely come into fruition despite being regularly reported, it’s not unheard of.
