Inter Milan will try and steal Moroccan midfielder Adel Taarabt from under AC Milan’s noses, according to L’Equipe.
The Rossoneri are in talks with QPR over turning the player’s loan move into permanent deal, but with the club failing to secure European qualification, it appears they won’t be able to match his buy-out clause.
L’Equipe has learned that bitter rivals Inter Milan plan to take advantage of the situation and try to sign the player on permanent basis.
Nevertheless, while it was initially believed it would cost around €7 million to acquire Taarabt’s rights, the French newspaper claims the amount is closer to €11 million.
Adel Taarabt, 24, has largely impressed since joining AC Milan on loan from QPR, starting 12 Serie A games and scoring 4 goals in the process.
He is hoping to remain with the Rossoneri beyond the current season, but his long-term future at San Siro remains in doubt.
