Inter chief: ‘Priceless’ Balotelli not for sale

(GSM) – Internazionale have insisted Mario Balotelli is not for sale.

The club’s sporting director Marco Branca added that they are also determined to keep Real Madrid target Maicon.

Branca said the duo will remain at the San Siro next season despite the serious interest from both Manchester clubs for 19-year-old Balotelli, while Maicon is thought to be a candidate to follow former Inter boss Jose Mourinho to Real.

Branca, however, insists that neither player will be leaving the club this summer, with the club in a good position following their Champions League success last season.

“We are in a very privileged position having won so much and it’s true that every day we are receiving calls because everyone wants at least six or seven of our champions,” Branca was quoted by Sky Sports as saying.

“Maicon and Balotelli? Balotelli is priceless. At this time, he and Maicon are not on the market.

“When and if there are requests we will kindly examine them but they are not on the market.”

Branca did however admit there are clubs tracking Balotelli, but insists they will not negotiate over a transfer for the youngster.

“The interest in Balotelli from both Manchester clubs is real and very strong, but has not reached an official offer.

“There will be no meeting with City on Thursday.”
