Italian daily La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter Milan have launched a new assault on Lazio star Hernanes.
With playmaker Fredy Guarin set to join Juventus in a swap deal that will see Mirko Vucinic move in the other direction, the Nerazzurri plan to sign the Colombian a replacement by the end of the transfer window.
As a result, they are pulling all the stops to try and complete the signing of Brazilian midfielder Hernanes.
Inter’s initial proposal worth €15 million has been rejected as the Biancocelesti are reportedly holding out for €18 million.
And with Claudio Lotito demanding the full amount is paid in cash, the two clubs are still not close to reaching an agreement, but it is believed Inter will make that extra effort and match their asking price.
In order to raise the necessary funds, the Nerazzurri look set to offload Andrea Ranocchia, who is on the radar of Borussia Dortmund.
