Inter Milan are readying a fresh assault on FC Porto defender Rolando, La Gazzetta dello Sport can reveal.
The Nerazzurri wanted to sign the stopper on a permanent transfer this summer after he had impressed while on loan at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, but they were not prepared to match a €5 million asking price.
However, with Rolando’s contract at Estadio do Dragao due to expire at the end of the current campaign, Inter are confident they will get their man eventually.
It only remains to be seen whether they will sign the former Portugal international in the January window or agree a Bosman deal that would see him arrive at the end of the season.
Following a very successful loan spell with Inter that saw him score 4 goals in 29 Serie A outings, Rolando returned to FC Porto, but he wasn’t even considered for any of the matches this season.
