Inter consider Vertonghen

Inter Milan are preparing to raid Premier League once again. After their summer business with Manchester United, when they signed Romelu Lukaku and loaned Alexis Sanchez, now they could be bringing another pair of players. One of them is Nemanja Matic, who has been linked with a move to Guiseppe Meazza for quite some time now, but the other player has not been mentioned in such conversation. Until now.

Jan Vertonghen is one of the players Inter are reportedly interested in, as Sky Sports Italia are claiming that the Nerazzuri could go for the Belgian player. Antonio Conte is apparently worried about the depth of his squad, which has a huge task in chasing Juventus for an entire season.

Vertonghen will be out of contract at Tottenham next summer, unless he signs a new deal very soon. But Inter could be in a strong situation if Vertonghen does not sign a new deal in 2019. Then, Inter could approach the player for a pre-contract, without even asking Spurs. It looks right now like Inter will not be chasing the Belgian in January window, but rather wait for the summer.
